Outstanding Industrial Technologist - 2007

Graduating in 1988 from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Industrial Technology, Mr. Randy Brown started his career at Kennametal Inc. as a Manufacturing Engineer. While pursuing his Masters in Technology at Kent State University, Mr. Brown combined technology and business curriculum to assist him in managing critical projects. His passion for applying technology as an enabler to make step-change process enhancements has resulted in the development and application of several innovative business management approaches. Mr. Brown has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility over the past eighteen years in Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Program Management, Sales, Marketing, Strategy and General Management. Mr. Brown is an active member in MAPI (Manufacturers Alliance), AMT (Association for Manufacturing Technology), AMA (American Marketing Association), ISBM (Institute for the Study of Business Markets) and a new member of NAIT.
