Outstanding Industrial Technologist - 1997

Robert Hellem, as Associate Director of Purchasing, is responsible for the purchasing operations of Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. In addition, he is a member of the North American Regional Purchasing Council which is responsible for coordinating and implementing global purchasing strategies across all divisions.

Mr. Hellem has held increasingly responsible positions in logistics, procurement engineering, and Supplier Quality Management prior to his present position as Associate Director of Purchasing. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology degree from the University of North Dakota in May of 1982 and in December of 1989 received an MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas.

Robert recently accepted the position with Novartis and he and his wife Cheri, and their children Ryan, Aaren, and Abigail, are in the process of moving to Lincoln, Nebraska.
