As Plant manager of the General Motors Assembly Plant in Moraine, Ohio, Pamela Mader is leading a plant renaissance in the manufacture of GM vehicles. She is the driving force providing leadership and motivation that creates an environment focused on continuous improvement with flexible production systems. The plant has an innovative local union agreement that Mader helped negotiate which incorporates a competitive wage feature and utilization of a temporary work force. She created a unique reward and recognition program that provides additional compensation to employees as business objectives are attained.

Pamela Mader graduated from Purdue University in 1986 with a BS in Industrial Management. She joined General Motors as a Production Supervisor in the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant. She held increasingly responsible positions at Fort Wayne to become Production Superintendent. She transferred to the Moraine Plant as Area Manager-General Assembly and continued her professional advancement when in 1998 she was promoted to Assistant Plant Manager and then to her present position as Plant Manager.

The Moraine Plant is a benchmark facility for beneficial suggestions offered by employees that have resulted in a tenfold financial improvement in the last five years.
