Outstanding Industrial Technologist - 1998

Anthony Snoddy is directly responsible for the strategic planning and daily direction of Exemplar Manufacturing. Under his stewardship the company has become a profitable manufacturer of automotive fasteners and cables and has grown to become a multiple plant operation.

Mr. Snoddy is a 1973 Industrial Technology graduate of Eastern Michigan University. Prior to joining Exemplar he was employed by General Motors Corporation in materials and purchasing management where he held increasingly responsible positions.

Mr. Snoddy became president of Exemplar in 1991 and led the company through succeeding profitable years of double-digit growth. He consummated a joint venture with Thomas and Betts that resulted in Exemplar becoming an international manufacturing operation with revenues approximating $100 million. His company was recognized as "Supplier of the Year" by one or more of it's customers four of the last five years.
