As Vice President, Mr. Suty is responsible for directing the nationwide activities of Lockheed Martin in metrology, material and process analysis, technology services, environmental and safety compliance, engineering systems and transportation of satellites and launch equipment. His efficient utilization of these resources directly contributes to Lockheed Martin's profitability.

Joel Suty received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from San Jose State University in 1962. Following graduation, he joined Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in the Missile Systems Division. His career embraced progressive management assignments in Manufacturing, Product Assurance, Engineering, and Program Management. In 1984 he was appointed Director of LMSC Facility Operations, responsible for planning and implementing an ambitious building expansion program while maintaining and operating existing facilities occupying 11 million square feet. In 1989, in recognition of his highly effective leadership, Mr. Suty was promoted to Vice President of Operations.
