Mr. William Vidacovich
Vice President, Acadian Ambulance

Upon graduation from high school, William Vidacovich enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for four years, until honorably discharged as an E-5 Sergeant. He was stationed in the States, Viet Nam and Japan during his tour of duty. Mr. Vidacovich was hired by his current employer, Acadian Ambulance, in 1973 where he worked a night schedule until receiving his BS degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana 1975. He rose through the ranks and served as Maintenance Director, Safety Director, and is currently a Vice President of the nationally recognized and acclaimed ambulance service. Acadian's current operating budget is $165 million.

In his current position as Vice President, Mr. Vidacovich most recently instituted the production of ambulance modules as a part of his overall vehicle maintenance program. With this latest program, he has again contributed to the profit of this ESOP company (in which the 2,000 employees own 75% of the stock), has created job opportunities in the community and has contributed to the economic growth of the local economy. When asked what his greatest business achievements are, Mr. Vidacovich quickly points to his role in helping fellow employees consistently achieve small victories for themselves, their company and their families.

Mr. Vidacovich has served as Trustee of Saint Edmond Church Parish, president of the Acadiana Safety Association and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana. He has participated as a youth baseball and soccer coach and continues to serve on various committees and boards, including his service on the ULL Industrial Advisory Board.
