The Student Division of the National Association of Industrial Technology may grant to one student chapter each year the, "Outstanding Student Chapter Award." The award will be based on both the quantity of students holding membership in the chapter and the quality of activities sponsored by the chapter.

The chapter receiving the award is selected by the President of the Student Division in consultation with Division Directors. The award is a plaque inscribed as follows:

Nominations: Nominations should be directed to the current President of the NAIT Student Division - follow this link to Student Division Personnel contact information. Nomination materials should address the award criteria, "quantity of students holding membership in the chapter and the quality of activities sponsored by the chapter." Membership numbers, increase in membership from prior year, number of meetings and activities, competions entered, service activities, achievements, honors and recognitions, NAIT Convention participation and any other objective measures of chapter activity and quality are all relevant to the selection process for this award.
